How will signing up for this program benefit my child?
By registering to join us, you will gain the opportunity to continue developing your skills both athletically and socially. Through our advanced training, increased competition, and accountability you will learn how to develop key life skills and basketball skills. We strive to teach our players responsibility, teamwork, communication, commitment, and great work ethic.
How much does joining cost?
The registration fee for Team Phoenix ranges based off of which team you are registering for.
Do I have to pay all at once or are there payment plans available?
Payment is preferred up front for the entirety of the season to ensure full commitment and maintain consistent rosters. There are payment installments available under special circumstances.
What is the average team size?
We generally accept 9-10 players per team. There are case-by-case exceptions to this rule, on both ends.
What's the difference between the teams?
Team Phoenix has a variety of teams at different levels. These levels are based on player ability, competitiveness, and other factors. Our sole objective in breaking down our teams this way is to ensure that each player develops properly in the correct environment.
How many events will we play?
The amount of events players will participate in is dependent on the grade and level. Generally speaking, teams average 2 events per month ranging from showcases to tournaments.
What type of events will we play in?
Our P32 and E32 teams will play in high level exposure events with national level travel. These teams play against the best competition in every event. Both teams have the same travel schedule.
Our Select and Premier teams will participate in quality regional events (Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex) and only participate outside this region with team approval.
When and where will the tournament games be held?
There are numerous events for each team. Locations and times are determined by the event host. Once the event has been announced and the venue has been finalized, parents/players will be informed of the locations and times. All events will be played on weekends.
Regional teams will stay local in the DFW Metroplex, while P32 and E32 teams can expect stops at San Antonio, St. Louis and Memphis.
When is basketball season for Team Phoenix?
Team Phoenix program runs year round broken down by seasons: Fall (Sep – Nov), Winter (Dec – Feb), Spring/Summer combined (March – Aug).
High school practices typically start in March and end in July. National and Premier High School teams should plan to play through the end of July.
What days do we practice on?
Practice days are determined by the team. Most teams will practice 2 days per week. Contact your coach if you want more details about team practices.
What colleges does Team Phoenix associate with?
We associate with colleges of all levels: NCAA D1, D2/D3, NAIA, JUCO, Postgrad/Prep, Christian/Other.
Since 2023, we have sent 25+ players to play basketball at the collegiate level at multiple different colleges. Additionally, 4+ of our players have received scholarships for the class of 2026 so far.

When are tryouts?
High School tryouts begin in January and conclude in March. We understand if you cannot make a particular date so you will have multiple opportunities. However, selections are made and accepted on a first come first serve basis.
Beginning in November we will conduct tryouts for our JrP32 and JrE32 Teams. This process will conclude at the very latest beginning of February.
For our youth 7th grade and under Select/Premier teams we have open practices year round players and families are welcome to come check out our culture.
Does Team Phoenix offer private training?
Yes! We offer private tailored individual workouts from any of our certified coaches. You can find more information under the training tab and book directly there. We also offer small group and clinics throughout the year.
